Achieving Regional Balance through the Renewable Energy Transition

The ESPON RE-BALANCE project will explore how the renewable energy transition can contribute to more balanced regional development, using Ireland as a case study while drawing lessons for Europe. Spatial Foresight will lead Task 3, focusing on a European Comparative Analysis, comparing European territorial experiences to identify transferable governance, planning and policy lessons. We work together with Viegand Maagøe (lead partner), Menon Economics, and People and Place.
