Evaluation Interreg Germany-Denmark
The evaluation of the Interreg 6A programme Germany–Denmark serves as a strategic tool to support active management of the programme during the current funding period up to 2027, while also informing the design and development of the subsequent programme cycle. It aims to generate both operational learning and evidence of results and impacts, thereby contributing to EU-level policy development on territorial cooperation. The evaluation addresses two main dimensions. First, the implementation of the programme is examined through an operational review of administrative systems and processes, with the objective of optimising procedures during the current period and identifying improvements for future programming. Additionally, the evaluation includes an assessment of public outreach, focusing on the effectiveness, suitability, and visibility of communication measures such as newsletters, the programme website, and social media channels. Second, the evaluation explores the results and impacts of the programme in two stages. A mid-term impact assessment provides an early analysis of the programme’s progress and supports strategic steering in the remaining period, while a final assessment delivers a comprehensive review of outcomes and longer-term effects. The evaluation is conducted by the Danish Technological Institute in cooperation with Spatial Foresight.
