International review of national plans

The study informs the Swedish debate on whether and if so how to reinforce strategic spatial planning at national level, based on experience in other countries. The main part of the study is a short review of strategic national spatial planning documents concerning their focus, character, influence and elaboration process in Austria, Estonia, France, Ireland, Netherlands, Poland, Scotland and Slovenia.
