Advancing financial support to sustainable tourism in the Mediterranean

Spatial Foresight supports the Interreg MED community on Sustainable Tourism. The community consists of tourism players  aiming to making tourism a driver for sustainable development in territories of the Mediterranean region.

Spatial Foresight will assess ways how the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and Recovery and Resilience Fund (RRF) can be used to support sustainable tourism in the region. In addition, Spatial Foresight will support capitalisation activities of the community by designing a method for regional debates among tourism players, programme authorities and other policy-makers relevant for sustainable tourism. Findings will be presented in a handbook on the use of ERDF and RRF for sustainable tourism.
